Network Event: Why supporting families affected by domestic abuse should be on every employer’s agenda

We were delighted to hold our first Network Event in the Northeast, hosted at Northumbria University in Newcastle, in June 2025.

We heard how domestic abuse impacts children and young people, and how employers can support their employees and their families affected by abuse. Expert speakers, victim-survivors, and employers shared practical tips and guidance for employers that want to take effective action on domestic abuse.

We welcomed both existing and prospective EIDA members for a morning of learning, inspiration, and the chance to connect with other engaged employers.
