Strategic Partnership is an accelerator programme ideal for organisations that are starting work on introducing an effective workplace domestic abuse response. It is also for those that want to work with EIDA to help create resources and share learnings with employers, particularly smaller organisations that would not otherwise have the resources or budget to implement their own workplace domestic abuse response.
The EIDA Strategic Partner programme provides an opportunity for larger employers to leverage their scale and expertise, “paying it forward” to smaller employers, whilst also fulfilling some of their own environmental, social and governance (ESG) objectives.
Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) account for around three-fifths of employment in the UK private sector. However, EIDA hears regularly of the challenges posed by a lack of resources and funding, preventing many SMEs from recognising and responding to domestic abuse. EIDA Strategic Partners’ contributions will enable us to develop a range of materials for SMEs and support them with the resources they need to implement an effective domestic abuse response.

Words from our Strategic Partners
Fleet Street Quarter BID are enormously proud to be a founding Strategic Partner of EIDA. As a Business Improvement District, representing over 350 businesses in the western side of the City of London, we are encouraging the businesses we support, both large and small, to implement best practice domestic abuse policies developed by EIDA to safeguard workforces. By allowing conversation and change within the workplace to happen, we can help tackle this nationwide epidemic affecting 1 in 4 women and 1 in 6 men. The time to act is now and we would advise businesses to consider their internal policies, utilising the fantastic support of EIDA.
Fleet Street Quarter - Lady Lucy French OBE, Chief Executive Officer
Bristows is delighted to become a Strategic Partner of EIDA. In recent years, the topic of domestic abuse, and particularly the valuable role that employers can play, has become so much better recognised across our society. We look forward to learning more about how we can support our own employees while at the same time helping to provide resources for smaller organisations.

Allied World is proud to support EIDA and the work they do for employees, and employers, affected by domestic abuse.
Allied World
We are proud to take a stand against domestic abuse to protect and support our customers, our colleagues, and our communities. Our strategic partnership with EIDA will help support our colleagues experiencing abuse, and we hope more employers will take a similarly proactive stance. Of course, our social responsibility to help tackle abuse isn’t limited to Nationwide customers or colleagues – we have recently introduced safe spaces in more than 400 branches to support anyone who needs help. We’ve already seen the value this can bring to people who need help, so we encourage anyone who needs a safe environment to reach out. We also hope that other firms with a strong high street presence follow our example and introduce a similar scheme.”
