ITV Wales presenter, Ruth Dodsworth, discusses her own experience of coercive control as a form of domestic abuse in a new TV programme: ‘Controlled by My Partner? The Hidden Abuse’ on ITV.
Ruth endured almost a decade of coercive control at the hands of her ex-husband, who is now in jail. He called her up to 200 times a day, demanded she always return home for lunch with him and delete all other contacts on her phone.
Ruth says: “Coercive control can happen to absolutely anybody. Keep talking… so that we can keep saving lives”.
