The 16 Days of Activism campaign runs from 25 November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, until 10 December, Human Rights Day. By participating, you demonstrate to your employees that your organisation takes domestic abuse seriously, and you also help keep the issue on the agenda. Every opportunity to raise awareness can mean a life saved.
This year's campaign pack contains...
16 awareness-raising posters, one for each day of the campaign. We encourage you to hang these in private areas of your office, such as on the back of individual bathroom doors. Each poster has a quote from a victim-survivor of domestic abuse, and a QR code that links to them sharing a short audio recording of their experience. They talk about how their abuse impacted them at work, and what their employers did (or didn't do) to support. Anyone listening to the audio can access a link to our support service directory to get help if they are experiencing domestic abuse.

In addition to these resources, EIDA will be posting campaign content on our socials throughout the 16 campaign days. We will be spotlighting our members, from the local to the international, and their domestic abuse responses to inspire all UK employers to take effective action on domestic abuse. Follow us on LinkedIn and BlueSky if you don't already!
We will also share more about the 16 Days of Activism, and some top tips on communicating in the workplace about domestic abuse, in our upcoming Insight Hour webinar to kick off the campaign on 18 November. Register here!
